Some Like it…Warm!

IMG_6256

Warm sake isn’t just for cheap sake anymore! On Monday, January 23rd, join us for our annual Winter Warmup, as we demonstrate why good sake CAN be heated and how to do it easily. Over 30 sakes of various grades and regions from the SIO (Sake Institute of Ontario) members will be available for sampling and we’ll show you how to warm them…without the microwave!

Learn the history of warm sake, the different methods of warming and what happens to the sake when you heat it.

Food from award-winning restaurant Kingyo, we’ll have a sampling of their top izakaya tapas to keep you going throughout the night. You’ll be able to munch on a sampling of:

Tuna, ebi & avocado carpaccio, umaki (tamago with unagi), chicken kara age, grilled mackerel, lotus root kinpira, braised daikon & fried tofu kushi skewers, aburi scallop carpaccio, hamachi carpaccio, salmon battera sushi & toro battera sushi.

Get out of the cold and come warm up with us! This event sells out every year…you know what to do!
