Announcing Sake Day 2015

October 1st commemorates the beginning of sake brewing season in Japan, known as Nihonshu no Hi, or Sake Day. Since 1978, both the sake brewing community and sake lovers from around the world have celebrated this date. To commemorate this, the Sake Institute of Ontario is happy to announce its fourth annual Sake Day celebration. This year, we are celebrating by unveiling the Category winners from The Toronto International Sake Challenge.  All of the category winners, in addition to a multitude of other sakes from SIO members will be available to taste.

This year’s Sake Day festivities will be held at the Peter Pan Bistro’s newly refurbished upstairs rooms and feature the delicious bites from their chefs.
